The logo design process is
fairly simple. For the most part, it can all be handled
over the Internet, though you are welcome to contact
us via telephone as needed. In a nutshell, we design
you several versions of logos from which you select
one that you like for further development. With your
commentary as a guide, we move forward with that design
to a final logo. You approve it and we send the files
to you.
In greater
detail, it goes like this:
1. You select your Logo
Package(s) and procede to the checkout area. You will
be prompted to input your credit card information
and your order will be processed. You will be able
to pay with either PayPal or standard credit card.
(In the case of the latter, payment processing
is offline and you may be contacted by a Business
Identity Center staffperson for further information.)
You will receive an e-mail containing a link to the
Logo Design Interview
Page. Complete and submit the interview. We will
contact you with any further questions.
In some cases, documents may
be transmitted to you via e-mail; these documents
may contain contract or information forms that must
be completed by the buyer and returned to us in order
to satisfy anti-fraud and/or legal/copyright requirements.
2. The Business Identity
Center will e-mail you location information for the
client-only section of www.businessidentitycenter.com.
Save this e-mail. If we have any initial questions
about your logo we will ask at this time in a separate
e-mail. In some cases, we may telephone you. Please
be certain your telephone contact information is correct.
3. Our design team will
use your Logo Development Interview to make a series
of rough designs for your review. Typically, there
will be 5-8 graphical themes presented, possibly with
one or more variations.
4. In 3-5 days you will
receive notice that your initial rough drafts are
ready to be viewed in your client folder. You will
be given detailed instructions on
- how to access your rough
art designs,
- how to make notes on the
Design Feedback Form, and
- how to select the logo design
theme you'd like to explore for your final design.
5. Depending on the
design, you may expect to recieve 1-5 revisions for
the final draft. Again, you will be notified by e-mail
that the final drafts are in your client folder, where
you will find another Design Feedback Form for you
to complete. You may request one redraw of the final
draft selection.
6. Your deliverable
logo will be presented to you in the formats indicated
in the package information
on the site. Final artwork will be delivered to you
via the method you indicated on your initial Logo
Development Interview.
Terms you should know:
Logo - the symbol
or design and type combination that we create to represent
your company.
Rough - a first-stage
drawing of your logo, focusing mostly on visual themes,
styles and colors. Our roughs look like completed
logos but they are still just initial workups.
Final draft - the
design you select from the roughs is further worked
until it meets your needs and our standards of excellence.
Deliverable logo/approved
logo - the final design on which you sign off
and we create electronic files for your use.
